Dedicated Gluten Free Facility

We understand the importance to ensure our baked goods are products you can trust. Our gluten free products are made in our dedicated Gluten Free Certified bakery where we incorporate three key standards to ensure allergen cross contamination does not occur and maintain a regulated food safety as well as a high quality tasting products.

Ingredient Integrity

We only buy raw materials from carefully selected producers which are able to provide allergen information about their ingredients. Thus reducing or eliminating the chance for allergen contact before we use ingredients. We do not buy “repacked” product that is repackaged from the original maker of the ingredient or where gluten has been used on the same line, even if a documented cleaning program is in effect.

We test our gluten free products for detectable allergens and our water supply for contaminants at a British Columbia Provincial Government approved laboratory for microbiological testing. We test to and have always maintained a less then 5 parts per million standing, which is as sensitive as the test indicates.

We believe to be truly accountable, third party certification process is essential.

Wendel’s True Foods is certified by Gluten Free Certification Organization (GFCO) which audits our facility and documentation as well as conducts product testing to ensure we adhere to the strict requirements of gluten free certification. Food Safety

Wendel’s True Foods is committed to foods safety and is compliant to the stringent food safety guidelines of The Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) method. HACCP is accepted as the state-of-the-art control method for preventing biological, chemical and physical hazards from entering the human food distribution chain.
